THE ONE NAME STUDY

This can be summed up by my aims for the Study –

· To collect and collate all references to the HEDGES name world-wide

· To make this information freely available to fellow researchers

· To encourage the contribution of HEDGES data for the benefit of all

The Study has been registered with The Guild of One Name Studies www.One-Name.org

The Study database is steadily growing and consists of -

Parish Register Entries – Baptisms, Marriages and Burials

Other Parish records and Directories

Births Marriages and Deaths registered with the General Registration Office

Census – UK 1841 through 1901 plus American and Canadian Census

Wills, Probates, Inventories

Obituaries

Memorial Inscriptions

Newspaper reports from National and Local Newspapers

Other miscellaneous sources

At the present time the database contains in excess of 62,400 entries, with many more thousand to be keyed in. This can only be searched by me but the information it contains is freely available to anyone with Hedges family connections. I make no charge for this information and only ask that you share with me your data which will enable me to continue to develop the Hedges resources. This will also make it possible for me to introduce you to others researching your particular Hedges family.
